Match play is an essential part of every players development. Successful players learn to trust their skills by going into the arena of competition and working through tough situations. This proving ground allows coaches and players alike to find improvements and know when changes are working. Adding match play to your weekly routine is the quickest and easiest way to get better!
Session 1: October 2nd to December 11th, 2016
No Ladder Matches on 10/23 & 11/27
Session 2: January 8th to April 9th, 2017
No Ladder Matches on 1/29, 2/5 & 3/19
|12:00 – 1:30pm||Level 1 – For players getting their first experiences with organized Match Play and have not played a USTA Tournament or competed for a High School Team.|
|1:30 – 3:00pm||Level 2 – For players who compete in USTA Tournaments, for a High School Team, or with USTA Junior Team Tennis.|
Format: Players will arrive on the court at their weekly scheduled time and a teaching professional will arrange matches at that time. The participants will play a variety of match formats including singles, doubles, no-ad sets, pro sets, situational sets, etc. Participants will play multiple players during the allotted time while receiving tactical and strategic advice from a PVTFC professional. The player’s scores will be recorded and points will be given for games won, matches won, etc. Players will be ranked by points accumulated on a weekly basis and the ladder can be viewed on the challenge ladder board in the club.
Cost: Members:$13.50 per class Non-members: $16.50 per class
